The traditional warm-up event for the British Champs at the Courchevel Ecosse started with persistent clound and much waiting around. After three hours of hoping for enough wind to dislodge the cloud the race was abandoned so we packed up and headed back to Meribel – at least our skis were still prepped.
Sunday started with cloud again but this was soon gone with warm spring sun for the races. A hip-slide on the first run ruined my overall placing but fourth in run 2 was a decent result in my least favourite discipline this year. Monday’s slalom was much the same with a second place in run 1 followed by another hip-slide in run 2.
