The Anglo-Scottish Cup and BSA GrandPrix events in Les Houches this year were held on Khandahar Maison Neuve in preference to the usual setting on Grand Bois. Plenty of snow on both days of the slalom meant challenging conditions particularly on the upper half of the course with some serious ruts developing as all boys and girls headed down the same slope. Despite the conditions I managed the terrain well to secure first position in both Saturday’s Anglo-Scottish and Sunday’s Grand Prix events. My finish in Monday’s Anglo-Scottish GS was a disappointing 8th after which I returned to the UK so could not start in the Grand Prix GS although overall I was happy with my results.
